Funny that my favorite panel is the first since it was supposed to be something else but changed it last minute. Lots of things about this page drove me crazy, but I'm still proud of a few things.

Do you feel like the characters are lost? That things are hard to differentiate? I had planned on using ink washes, but then remembered this ink isn't waterproof at all despite the label. So I opted for cross-hatching.

Pigma microns are only $3 and totally waterproof also the Staedtler pigment liner.
Or just use a really fine point brush for the
outline with the ink wash inside for shading.
Sorry my french is almost zero, only word I know is "sortie" which means get lost right?

I forgot to translate! *facepalm* She's saying "cya at the apartment" and "sortie" normally only means exit.

For the waterproof problem, I need to buy new ink soon so I'll probably get another brand I used to work with which was waterproof. I tend to pass through pens/markers at an alarming rate.

I kinda like that you didn't translate. Mind you I'm bilingual, but hell... For anyone who cares enough, BabelFish translations is available to anyone with internet access.

Also nice ink work. I can always appreciate some tight black and white comiking!

I didn't need a babel, and I find the input of some french a nice addition. And a very nice page, Matt! :D

I'm glad the french touches are welcomed/appreciated :)

And thanks!

@OldCore:I think I'll put the next translations in the author notes for those who want to read them. I don't really want to clutter my pages with them. There's probably gonna be some slang that is harder to translate on a site.

Personally have no problem differentiating characters from the backdrop; the strong outlines and varying density of crosshatching keep it pretty clear :)

Good! Glad it worked :)

The detail is really great on this page, especially the first panel.

--and I may be late to the game on this, but I really love the layout you got going on here. Super artsy.

Thanks! I haven't really received comments on the site layout, so I'm glad to have positive feedback :) (I really have to fix the comment section though)

I just realized, this is pretty much how real conversations go. That's nice!

Hopefully we'll have another update before the year-end?

You forgot to specify which year :P

Just read through your archive to date. Really enjoying the story and main character, very cool stuff. I like that you're experimenting some with different art techniques, I think you could do that even more, as it seems to work with the strip in that the main character is an artist. I think the dialog sound very natural too, though once or twice I got a bit confused about what was going on. IAnyway, good stuff, I hope you'll keep updating, even though it looks like its been a while since you did... I want to know more about the two-headed guy?!

Wow, thanks for the compliments! It's really nice to hear. I will keep experimenting with different technique, and maybe even with colours in the next chapter.

Things have gotten a bit hectic in life and I'm not proud to say updates have been at their lowest lately, but they will come back soon, with a more solid schedule.
